Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Sign Mutual Defence Agreement

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a formal mutual defense agreement, Dawn newspaper reported. The agreement stipulates that an attack on one of the two countries would be considered an attack on the other, according to a statement from the Pakistani Prime Minister’s office.

The agreement is aimed at promoting defence cooperation between the two countries and strengthening further the mechanism of mutual deterrence of aggression. The paper emphasizes common effort to ensure regional security and stability.

The implementation of the pact will include coordination of military strategies, intelligence sharing and mutual maneuvers.
